Description: This well-balanced white wine is distinctively clean and crisp with aromas of vanilla, pineapple and toast.
    Body: Medium
Aging: French oak and stainless steel
    Finish: Dry

Vineyards & winemaking: Our Chardonnay is a tribute to the art of blending. Grapes from our Long Green Vineyard contribute melon-like fruit aromas; and grapes from our South Mountain Vineyard contribute a minerality reminiscent of the soil. We grow five different clones and field blend them for added complexity. A portion of our Chardonnay is fermented sur lie in French oak barrels for smoothness, and the balance is kept in stainless steel to emphasize fresh fruit flavors - the two components are blended to create the finished wine.  Limited production:1259 cases.

Suggested foods: cream sauces, grilled poultry & seafood, veal, pesto
    Winery price: $13.99

12 bottle mix'n'match case discounts of 10% are given at the winery.

    Landmark Reserve 2009

Description: Our most complex and full-bodied Landmark wine.  Aromas of black currants, coffee, tobacco, and subtle wood are followed by a rich, full-bodied flavor with well-balanced tannins elegantly polished by two years of aging in French oak barrels.
    Body: Medium
    Aging: French oak
    Finish: Dry

Vineyards & winemaking: The 2007 vintage ranks as one of the finest in the history of the mid-Atlantic region, with seasons following a perfect script: a mild spring with just enough rain and no damaging frosts, plenty of sunshine during the summer, and a leisurely dry fall. These conditions favored full ripening of the three grape varieties that make up Boordy’s 2007 Landmark Reserve: 45% cabernet sauvignon, 29% merlot, and 26% petit verdot. Each of these makes an important contribution to the final blend, bringing in turn structure, finesse, and depth. We hand select lots in the vineyard, ferment them separately, and assemble the final blend from the best of the barrels. We use the Reserve designation sparingly at Boordy, so when it appears it signifies a wine worth seeking out. Cellaring is recommended for up to 10 years from the vintage date.  Limited production: 424 cases.

Suggested foods: Beef Wellington, braised veal shank with mushrooms, pasta and morels, foie gras, coq au vin, firm mellow cheeses.
    Winery price: $26.15

12 bottle mix'n'match case discounts of 10% are given at the winery.

    Cabernet Franc 2009

Description: A red wine of subtlety and refinement that is lighter in body than a cabernet sauvignon.  Aromas of cedar, white pepper and raspberry, and  the flavors are soft and silky with a distinctive spiciness.
    Body: Medium
    Aging: French oak
    Finish: Dry

Vineyards & winemaking: Our long romance with cabernet franc has taught us much about how to grow this Bordeaux variety in our region. The first vines were planted in South Mountain Vineyard in the mid-1970s, and we continue to expand, employing close spacing between vines to control vine vigor and limit yields. Rigorous canopy management to harvest sunlight efficiently and crop thinning are essential measures to achieve top quality fruit. Clusters are sorted at the crusher to ensure that only the best grapes are fermented. Boordy’s Cabernet Franc is aged in French oak barrels for fourteen months.  Limited production: 470 cases.

Suggested foods: fettuccini Alfredo, smoked oysters, shad, grilled salmon, white pizza, grilled lamb
Winery price: Sold out at the winery.
